VETERAN'S DAY 2011 +++ NEW EMPLOYMENT INITIATIVES
On Monday, November 7, 2011, President Obama launched
three initiatives aimed at getting unemployed veterans back to work. The president said, “No veteran should have to
fight for a job at home after they fight for our nation overseas.” Three new programs launched are:
1) Veteran Gold Card--The Gold Card program
will entitle post-9/11 veterans to enhanced services including six months of personalized case management, assessments and

2) My Next Move for Veterans
-- My Next Move for Veterans is a new online resource launched by the Department of Labor that will match the military skills

FIND A JOB ON DELAWARE JOBLINK Information and assistance will be provided by Delaware Department
of Labor, Division of Employment and Training, One-Stop office staff regarding available employment programs, training opportunities,
services, eligibility requirements, and veteran's priority. The Delaware JobLink registration
process has been developed to determine veterans' eligibility, and an American Flag identifies veterans' resumes listed on
Joblink for employers. Veterans are encouraged to avail themselves of these opportunities.
